Thanks

Hi everyone!
Have you been Pintresting lately?  Well that is one of my favorite things to do in my free time.  If you haven't and want to check it out leave me your e-mail address and I will send you an invite.  It's basically a website www.pinterst.com that you can pin websites to.  Then you can browse through what other websites other people are pinning onto there boards.
There's an app on my phone and when I've got any down time whether I'm in the car waiting for the kids or at the grocery store waiting to pay I am on my pinterest app.  I saw a card well one of many many cards...lol, that I thought looked really pretty.  I didn't have the stamps that she used so I made it the same but with the materials that I had on hand. If you want to see the original card go here.  She did a fabulous job way better then me. I wanted to try the black heat embossing on the black card stock and I also tried the white on black but the white I used what more of a iridescent color.  It didn't turn out as nice but it was a fun card to make.

  • Card Size is 5x6"
  • Flowers were cut using George and Basic Shapes
  • Twine is from Martha Stewart
  • The stamps used were all OLD SU sets.

Well I hope you liked it and I hope you go and check out Christina's blog.  I'm really glad I found it through Pinterest.

Have a great Day!!

Butterflys and sparkle

Today's card I'm sharing with you was made for my Secret Sister.  I hope she doesn't follow my blog...LOL. Actually I hope she does follow my blog but hope she missed this post.  I'm on a Facebook group and we all are assigned a secret sister.  We all post a little about who we are and what we like.  Then you have a place to go to learn a little about you secret sister.  Then you mail something to her.  My sister's favorite color was purple so of course I used purple.  She also likes butterfly's and sparkle.  I Incorporated all that into the design of this card.  I didn't stamp any sentiment on the card and I sent her 4 of them.  This way she can adjust the card to any occasion by a simple stamp or can just leave them blank.

The butterfly was cut from the Sophie Cartridge. I cut the circle from George and Basic Shapes.  I then ran the circle through the Cuttlebug.  The circle and butterfly is outlined with purple Stickles.  Then I added some black doodling around the card.

Well I hope she loves her cards and other little goodies I sent her.  If she is anything like me anything crafty is always completely appreciated.

Thanks for stopping by, please come back again soon!

Happy Mothers Day Card 1

I made all my mother's Day cards and I sent them out on time. I just haven't had much blogging time, not to mention the last couple of days Blogger has been unavailable.  So even though Mother's Day has all ready passed I'd still like to show the cards that I made this year for mothers day.

This Card I sent to my Cousin in law who has a 1 yr old.  I thought it to be fitting.
The heart is from George and Basic Shapes.  I cut it using my Gypsy. I sized one at 3.75and the second layer at 3.99.
The Mother holding her baby was cut using A Child's Year.  I cut that at 4.78.  Then I just trimmed it down to fit inside the heart.
I used a Hero Arts Stamp for the Happy Mother's Day Sentiment and for the wavy border punch is from eKSuccess.

This is only one of a few cards so stay tuned for more Mother's Day action! :)

First Layout of 2011

I really loved how this Layout turned out. It is the first LO I've done this year and really the first one I've done in a really long time. I've got so much catch up to do.
Over on the Cricut Message Board they do a Challenge where a sketch is posted and everyone creates a LO using the sketch as inspiration. I love this because then I know I will get at least one page done a week.  Here is the sketch where I got my inspiration.

I used the Imagine to print out the back ground paper from the Imagine More Cartridge. I then used the G&BS cart for the Circles. The piano, trumpet and phrase is from the Quarter Note cartridge and the flourish is from Home Decor.

Birthday Cards

I made a New Years Resolution this year to make sure I send more Birthday cards. I made these for no one particular in mind. I like how they turned out and think that they would work well for a male or female. I used the Base Camp Cartridge for the H and G&BS for the circle. The sentiments I printed off my computer onto vellum paper.

Fun Times!

This is the first page of the River Season. This day we went out with some Friends who had Jet Skies. I don't know why I didn't have any jet ski pictures but I didn't. (next time)

For the Fun Times I used the Making the Grade Cartridge and for the Arrows I used the Going Places Cartridge. Then the circles I used the George and Basic Shapes.

Tri Shutter Card

So I've seen these really cool cards around everywhere and so I wanted to try one myself. It just happen to be my baby sisters Birthday and another Sister's Graduation so I had the opportunity to try them out immediatly. Here is the very first attempt.

I used the Cricut DoodleCharm for the cupcake and the G&BS for the name. Then the cuttlebug for the dry embossed flowers. I embossed the cupcake and letters with a purple glitter embossing powder.

I really liked the first Tri Shutter card I had to try the second one. What better than a graduation card. I used the Cricut for her name and the cuttlebug for the dry embossed dots.
