It's Officially Summer Blog Hop!

Welcome to the It's Officially Summer Blog Hop! I would say it's definitely officially summer.  It's suppose to be 113 degrees here on Wednesday. What better way to spend time keeping cool then to be inside nice and cool participating  in a blog hop.  If you came here from Debbie then you are in the right place. If you just stopped by my blog and would like to Hop along from the beginning then hop on over to  Jill, the Scrapoholic.

As I have mentioned before I live in Arizona and we live rather close to a couple Lakes and Senators Wash.  It's only about a 30 minute drive.  We spend as much time there as possible.  For today's hop I did a scrapbook double layout with photo's from one of many River trips.

This was a LO that was put together using one of the Creating Keepsakes Kits I had purchased a long time ago on QVC with Lisa Bearnson.

The sentiment was perfect! PLAY That's what summer is all about.

Here is  the second page to the LO.  I added my own Ribbon which is across the middle and added the Day in the Sun sentiment from the H2o Cartridge in the center.  I then stamped the year on the upper right

So that is it.  I hope you liked it. Please feel free to leave a comment. Leave me your blog address and I will visit you too.  Don't forget to check back tomorrow for day 2 of the hop.  I will have a new summer themed project for you to see.

Your next stop on the hop is over to the talented Jackie.

If you get lost along the way I've included a list of all the stops. Thanks again for hoping by!

School's Out For Summer Blog Hop!!!

I am so excited that you stopped by our hop.  School's out for Summer and that is what this hop is all about.  So Grab an ice cold drink and enjoy all the hops.  There are 14 stops starting with Jessica at The Creative Stamper . So if you just started the hop and you want to start from the beginning head on over to The Creative Stamper. If you just came from Jenny at Paper Cut Creations you are in the right place.

I decided to do a summer Layout for the first day of our hop.  Living in Arizona we know the true meaning of Summer.  Thank goodness we are only about 45 minutes from the River.  We tend to spend many of our weekends outside in the sun and on the water.

This Layout I kinda put together by accident.  Do you ever make a cut and then decide your not going to use it, but you don't want to throw it away?  I do and so I keep them together.  I had the Yellow scalloped square sitting on a purple sheet of card stock and the red scalloped circle was sitting on the yellow.  They just ended up this way and I immediately loved how the colors looked together. That's when I decided to add some "summer" to the color.  Now the Yellow Scallop I don't remember where I cut it from.  But the red piece I know I used the E2 and used Cricut American Alphabet. Before I attached all the pieces together I  placed the photo's in the middle.  Then using an X-acto knife I cut away at the pictures till they were only in the center of the circle.

The Text was cut using Simply Sweet and the goggles, tube boy and "flipper" boy were cut using H2o Solutions Cartridge.  I used pop dots to give them dimension.

OK so now for the "Candy", have  a $10 gift card to Michael's for one lucky commenter.  You don't need to follow me unless of course you want to.( Followers always welcome.) Just leave me a comment of your favorite "summer" thing to do and a way to get a hold of you (e-mail)  and I will announce a winner on Monday June 13th.

Your next stop on the hop is   DoBea .  I've also posted the "Hop" line-up in case you get lost along the way.  Don't forget this is a 3 day hop so don't forget to stop back by tomorrow to see more School's Out for Summer!
