Christmas Door

Hello hope everyone's weekend has been good.
I'm still here and everyone is still healthy so I can't complain one bit.
I wanted to show you the cards I sent out to friends and family for Christmas this year.

I got the idea from Stamp N Design  She has a free template for her door but I decided to just go with a square door.  I had 40 of these to make with not a lot of time to do it.  I thought they would be quick and easy.  Well I got the easy part right.  But wow it took a lot of time and paper.

Now each square area on the door is 3 deep.  I used all the same maroon color paper but inked the middle layer edges with Stampin up Cranberry Crisp. So I had to cut 160 first layer squares 160 middle layer and 160 top layer.  It was half that for the longer rectangles on the top but there was a lot of cutting involved

I then pop dotted the wreaths on each side of the door.

  • Card size is 5"x 6 3/4"
  • Wreath is from Christmas Cartridge cut at 2.26" Then embellished with stickles.
  • Oval door decor cut from George and Basic Shapes from DCWV silver paper
  • Silver Brads for door knobs.
  • Inside stamped with the new Fiskars "Seasons Greetings" stamps

Each card had family photo inserted as the first thing the recipient received once they opened the card.

Thank you for taking a look. I hope you like our Family's Christmas card.

P.S.  For Christmas I received the Cameo and low and behold in the Silhouette store they had this exact card cut file in there.

Calendar 2013

Hello everyone!  Today I wanted to share a little gift I give to the grandparents every year.  I found these calendar kits at Michael's last year on clearance.  They were priced for $19.99 but marked down to $6.99.  So this year I waited for them to go on clearance again and they did but they were marked down to $5.99. Yay!!
The kit has all the supply's you need except for the adhesive and the pictures.  The creativity is even done for you.  We have our family pictures done every year so I grabbed my adhesive and here is what I finished with....

So there you have it. The easiest Calendar ever!! I think I'll go back and use some of the page layouts as ideas for regular scrapbooks pages.

Hope you had a great Friday! I worked late today so I think I'm gonna call it a night, but I'll see ya tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!

Cowboys (No I'm not a fan) ~just saying

Hi Everyone!
Can you believe it I've posted 3 days in a row?
I'm kinda surprised myself, lol.

Well today I want to show you a special request that I made for a customer.
They were having a surprise "Cowboy's" football birthday party and wanted invitations.

  •  A2 sized Gate fold style card
  • SPORTS MANIA Cartridge

Once the invite was opened up....

Back of invite opened up.....

As an extra bonus for the hardcore Cowboys Fan I made him his very own Cowboy's banner to hang up in his office...

And delivered it in this "Cowboy's" themed bag.

I heard it was a huge hit as was the party.
Too bad the Cowboy's just lost and are done for the season. (I'm a Steeler's fan myself.)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I'd love to know what team or teams you like.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!

There is something about the beginning of a new year.  It's a time of reflection to look back at the last year and strive to be better and do better in the coming year.  The number 13 has always been a lucky number for me so I hope that that means 2013 has good things in store.  I want to blog more and Facebook less.  That is my largest resolution for this year.  It's not that I don't craft because I craft always, daily.  I just don't take the time to photograph and blog. Then I'm going to strive to drink more water.  I will go days without a glass of water.  I've cut out the Diet Coke from 8-10 per day to 1-2 per week. But now I drink all Crystal Light, (*sigh).  Then  to keep moving.  I need to lose some weight but I'm happy.  So if I can just keep moving daily I think that I will slowly drop the lbs.

So those are my small plans for 2013, What are yours?

What better way to start off the new year then with a "New Year's" bear.  I got this cartridge a few weeks ago and haven't used it yet.  It's so adorable.  I love how the bear is the same bear and all the clothing are different.  Oh and just so you know,  I bought my cartridge at my local Walmart.  It was priced at $39.  Well I took in the weekly Michael's Ad and Walmart price matched the Cartridge so I got it for $29.

  • TEDDY BEAR PARADE  New years bear cut from Gypsy @ 3.47"
  • Clothes were scraps from stash
  • Background shape cut at 4.92", 4.57" and 4.22"
  • Card is 5"x6 1/4"

Well thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope you have a Happy New Year!!
