Sketchy Saturday!

Hi everyone! It's Sketchy Saturday time again.  This sketch is so much fun. It is Halloween theme and I just love it! If you would like to see the other design team creations from the sketch or to participate please hop on over to The Scrapoholic.

Here is my take on this sketch....

The background paper was from Revenhead Manor Recollections Collection.
The Spider/Web was cut from Mini Monsters.
The Boo! Stamp is from Michael's $1 bin.
The spider web has silver stickles.

I made this Layout while at a Michael's Crop night with my 12 year old daughter.  So I asked her if she wanted to do a layout from the sketch with me, and she agreed.  I honestly think hers turned out better then mine did. That and she finished in way less time then me.  So I just have to share.  Hope you like, feel free to leave some love.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Don't forget to go check out the other design team sketches at The Scrapoholic and play along.

Happy Halloween

I wanted to get a start on some Halloween cards.  I really wanted to use a witch hat.  I did a search on Gypsy and I couldn't believe I found this hat on the Pooh and Friends cartridge.  I ran it through the cuttlebug to give it some texture.  Then added some twine for the bow.
I've seen this border punch and have wanted it for as long as I can remember.  Well I just found it the other day.  I was so excited, you should have seen me at the store (my poor daughter). So this is the first thing I used my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch on.
The background paper is a scrap from a paper pack I used last year.

Well thanks so much for stopping by and looking at my card. I know it's not real exciting but I was so excited to use the new punch. Hope to have more Drippy Goo for you soon.

Hello Card made from all scraps

I've been working on getting more organized lately.  I feel like its a never ending battle.  I get everything organized but by the time it's all organized I get a more cartridges or more "stuff" and I have to re organize to make room.  But I guess it's good problem to have.  I have 2 shoe boxes full of cuts that I've made with my Cricut/Imagine that I ended up not using.  Well I went back through these boxes and got rid of a whole bunch.  I'm not going to think to go look through this box.  It would take more time to look through then it would to just re cut the image.  But I did save some.  I made this card completely from scraps out of my box full of cuts.

The oval is printed and cut from the Imagine as is the girl.
The tag is from a Fiscars punch then stamped.
Everything on here is basically from scraps. I added the ribbon, some stickles and a sentiment and Walla a quick hello card made from scraps.

Thanks for looking! Please come back again soon.

The Scrapoholics Sketchy Saturday Challenge

Happy Saturday everyone.   It's time for another Sketchy Saturday Challenge over at the Scrapoholics blog.  You can take the sketch below make a page using the sketch as inspiration. Then take your sketch over to The Scrapoholic and link it. But before you do, go see what the design team has come up with.  It's always fun to see how different people perceive the sketch.

Here's the sketch....

This is what I came up with.....
I feel like it doesn't look much like the sketch. But I did start with the sketch and as the page progressed I took some things off and added some things and this is what I came up with.
The "Happy Birthday" I welded together with the Gypsy using Quarter note.
The cake is from Simply Charmed and was cut at 3 inches. I then added googlie eyes and stickles.
The tags were cut with T,B,B&M.
The zig zag on left is a punch from eKSuccess.
The background printed paper is DCWV.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I hope that you like what you saw and you come back again soon.

Hello Kitty Easel Card.

Wow what a day. We just had a pretty good Thunder Storm. We only get on average 3.01" of rain per year. I don't know yet the official count today but water is flowing everywhere.  I love it! I wish it would rain a whole lot more, but it is what it is. It just makes it so much more exciting when it does rain.
OK so back to why were all really here.  I have a friend who loves Hello Kitty. So when her birthday came up I knew exactly what I was going to do.  I didn't want to do the original card so I decided on the easel card.

This is the card opened up.
I used white glitter paper from  the Christmas & Winter Combo paper mat pack.
Hello Kitty was cut at 3"
Ribbon is offray brand
I used the cuttlebug and birthday folder
I-rock was used to attached the bling
The stamp is from the $1 bin

This is the card closed up. It measures 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.

Thanks for stopping by, come back again anytime.

Get Well

Good evening everyone, I hope that those in the USA are enjoying this Labor Day weekend.  I'm so excited to have the time to get some blogging in.  I've missed everyone.
There is a lady I've grown up with who is in the hospital fighting for her life.   I wanted to send her a card. I wanted it to be serious, not "cute".  I'm usually a "cute" card maker but I felt this situation called for "serious." I've decided when I go to make a cut I'm going to make at least 2.  I have a file that keep all extra cuts in.  This time I decided to just make 2 cards.

This first card is a little different then the second.  I used stickles to outline the background and I used a different color ribbon around the Vase.

I used scrap paper for the black and white background.
The backgroud cut from Red was from Pop-up Neighborhood on pg 43.
I then I embossed with the cuttlebug
I cut the Vase and flowers from Kate's ABC's.
The flowers and Vase are touched up with Stickles.
The stamp is from Michael's brand.
The flower vase was attached using pop dots.

I hope this card is able to bring a smile to my dear friends face. I hope that she knows we are all praying for her.
Thanks you for stopping by, Please come back again soon.
