Scrapoholic Sketchy Saturday Challenge

Happy Saturday and Holly smokes, Where did the last 2 weeks go?  I cannot believe how fast time is going.  I've been crafting, but apparently not blogging. Besides my new blog look, I will show you what I've been up too in the next couple of days.  But for today it's Sketchy Saturday!  If your not familiar with sketchy Saturday,  Jill over at the Scrapoholic post a Sketch, one of a card and one of a Scrapbook Layout. Then you take the sketch and  create a card or Layout.  That easy!  Then you link it to Jill's blog, The Scrapoholic for a chance to win prizes and so that everyone can see your take on the Sketch.

This weeks Layout Sketch.....

My interpretation of the Sketch with a Back to School Theme.....

The background paper is from the DCWV Grade School Glitter pack.
The different school themed paper were out of my scrap box.
The "First day of school" is from Locker Talk cut at 4"
I used my sewing machine for all the stitching.
I added a couple random tags/ribbon.

Well I hope you liked and I hope that you play along.  So head over to Jill's page and see what you can come up with.
Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to say hi.

Get Well soon ~Donald and Daisy

Ok who else absolutly LOVES the Disney cartridges? I do! Well who else also hates these cartridges? I do! Yes I have a love hate relationship with these darn Cartridges.  I love the cuts but all the little details seem to take me forever to put together.
I wanted to make a card for a friends little boy who just had his tonsills out.  It took over an hour to do the Donald/Daisy cut.  So as simple as this card might look it was very time consuming. But if it puts a smile on his face it will be well worth it.
I layered a polk a dot paper and a plaid and used a zig zag stitch to attach them together and well add something else to this all ready seemingly plain card.
I stamped Get Well Soon with Blue ink. The stamp is from Hero Art.

Thanks for looking.  If anyone has any tips on how to make these cuts a little easier feel free to share. ;)
