Quick Appreciation Gift

It's time for another Teacher appreciation spot light.  With this gift I used my Imagine. I used the Imagine more Cartridge. Just had a plain Sm clipboard and plain little composition notebook.

I then took scraps and put them on the gift bag.  The zigzag is a ek Success edge punch.  I then added the flowers and a brad from my collection.

Have a Tweet Easter

I gave my mom a cricut for Christmas this year because she was still cutting things by hand. She'd seen the Cricut and the things that I had made but she just couldn't justify it.  So well I helped things along.  Little did I know it would bennifit me in the end..lol.  She only lives 5 houses down from me and I was over at her place the other night and well I couldn't believe it she had like 5 or 6 cartridges that I didn't have.  So of course I had to put them to use immediatly.  I made this card using  Simply Charmed. Love this cute little chick.  The Easter sentiment was one of those $1 bin ones from the craft store.  I've had this ribbon  in my stash for as long as I can remmeber and don't think I've used it once. I used the Cuttlebug for the polka dot texture. Then added some stickles to the egg shell to give it some sparkle, can never have too much sparkle. Thanks for stopping by hope to see you back again soon!!

Happy Spring

I've always loved this tree that is on Straight from the Nest.  I cut it at 3".  I've never been able to use this tree so since I'm in the process of spring cards the tree was fitting.  The grass was also cut from SFTN at 2".  The flowers I covered in Martha Stewart Glitter to give it a little sparkle.  The Happy I welded on my Gypsy using Gypsy Wandering and the Spring was a phrase from SFTN.  Well hope you liked it. Until tomorrow have a good night!!

Hello

I have got to get better at posting. It's not that I'm not doing anything. I have all kinds of projects done and ready to share. So this is going to be a week of posts for me. (Well that's the plan anyways....lol)

This card I made as an experiment. I was trying to use wire to make the butterfly wobble.  I lost patience and just used pop dots.  I will experiment with the wire wobble idea and when I perfect it I will for sure share.

The butterfly was cut using Live Simply Lite Cart at 3".

The Scrapoholic's Sketchy Saturday Challenge

Hello Everyone it's that time again, Sketchy Saturday over at The Scrapoholic Now every couple of weeks Jill will post a scrapbook Layout sketch and a card sketch that you may use to create your own page or card. Then you can link it to her page and share with everyone. Keep in mind 2 words...blog candy.

The Scrapbook sketch this week was a 2 page layout...

I decided to go with a beach theme. I am still catching up from last summers pictures. The pictures aren't turning out anywhere near what the actual page looks like. I've tried different lighting and still the photo's really don't do justice to the bright brilliant colors of these layouts.

I used all papers from American Traditional Designs "Beach Fun" pack.  The ribbon is from the Beach "Summer" ribbon from DCWV.  I used the I-rock for the little blue/orange bling.

Thanks for looking and please go check out every ones sketches and give it a try.  I love to see all the different interpretations of each sketch.  So until next time, Happy Crafting!!

Side Step Style Happy Birthday Card

Hello all my bloggie friends. I'm in a particularly good mood today. No reason really, just in a good mood.  I made this card a couple of days ago for a friend of mine with a birthday.  It's a side step card but it's different in the fact that the back of the card goes all the way up.  I think I might make a video showing how to make this style card but haven't gotten to it yet, but keep an eye out if your interested.
On this card I used the Sweet Treats Cartridge for all the cuts.  I added pink stickles to the cake and clear stickles to the gift bows.  If I could change something about this card it would be the "happy birthday" sentiment.  Not excited how that turned out but was happy with the rest.

Well thanks for looking and stay tuned for more information about how to do this great card!

Gift Card Holders

Hey everyone! If any of you are like me you watch everything that goes into the garbage because, "I might be able to do something with that."  Well that went for the Toilet paper rolls as well.  I wanted something cute to mail a gift card in.

The frog and the bee are from Create a Critter and the cute little dancing owl is from Twinkle Toes.

Here is a quick show of how I made these.

This cupcake was make using the Sweet Treats Cartridge. I used Martha Stewart
Tourmaline Glitter for the heart.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you back again soon!

bee-lieve gift set.

We are doing teacher spot lights at our church in our Primary.  These teachers are fabulous and we wanted to recognize them so a couple times a month we will pick one teacher and spot light them.  This particular teacher is our youngest of only 21. Her favorite color is Yellow so I went with a bee theme.

I got these little 6"x8" clip boards at our Dollar Tree. I covered it in a yellow w/ white polka dot paper from DCWV Everyday paper pack. I used the Create a Critter bee. I cut the wings out of Vellum to try and give it a real "wing" look.  The "bee-lieve" I used Quarter Note and welded together on the Gypsy. I didn't add anything with texture or dimension since most likely it will be used to write on.

Now these little composition notebooks I also bought at the Dollar Tree. They came in a 3 pk and measure in at @4"x31/2". I added the little bee, of course, from Create a Critter. The first photo was without Googlie eyes.  But I decided to add the Googlies. They just add so much I love googlie eyes. The paper again was a floral from DCWV Everday paper pack. I added clear stickles to the wings and some yellow ribbon. Oh and I inked around the edge a little with some black ink.
Then to put these little bee's in I made a quick little gift bag. I feel it needs more doodling or something but I had to hurry and do it in the morning last minute (suprise suprise). So I kept with the Bee theme. I used the Martha Stewart punch around the page loop punch. Added some ribbon and a bee and of course Googlie eyes.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I will have a new theme every other week so hope to see you back soon!

The Scrapoholic's Sketchy SaturdayChallenge

Hello Everyone!! Today is the first day of the Sketchy Saturday Challenges over at The Scrapoholic and my debut as a Design Team Member. I hope you will head over and check out every ones projects and play along.

Here is the sketch that I used:

This is what I came up with...
For the Swirl border on the left I used the Martha Stewart punch around the page.  The circles and flowers were also punches. I used the basic shape in my Imagine for the large pink shape under the flower line. Then doodled black around all the pink.

I added a little extra and decided to sew on the page. I sewed down the left side and across the rick rack.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Don't forget to head over to The Scrapoholic and see all the great talent and play along I'd so love to see every one's sketch.

Martini's and Birthdays

Happy Friday everyone!! I know I've been on a Tri-fold kick lately, but they are so much fun.  This card I threw together pretty quick and then got to the Martini glasses. Those babies were hard to do. I just couldn't figure out how to make them look somewhat realistic.

I used From my Kitchen to cut the glasses out at 5"
usingVellum and then again out of the transparency material that is used to cover  the Cricut mat.
The vellum is the back layer. I put Martha Stewart  Verdelite green glitter on the Vellum layer to make it look like a Apple Martini.  Then the Olive I used Peridot Green also from Martha Stewart. Then I placed the trancparency on top. The little star on the front of the glass is also Martha Stewart glitter  in sterling.  Then I sewed the 2 layers together with white thread. I used a real toothpick through the olive and added a little charm at the bottom the 1st glass.
The Happy Birthday was cut from Lyrical Letters. I then used the i-rock to make the star sparkle.

Thanks again for looking. Be sure to check back tomorrow for my 1st Scrapoholic Design Team challenge.

Turtle ♥ Love

My 17 yr old little brother came over last night and asked me to make a card for his girlfriend because today is there 1 yr anniversary.  He wanted something different not a ordinary card. So I went with the Tri-fold because I only had a couple hours to make this card and Tri fold is easy peasy.  He said that she loves Turtles and she loves green and he wanted it to be somewhat romantic.  Ok that was a challenge. But this is what we came up with. I hope that she likes it.

The Turtles were cut from Create a Critter then added green stickles.  The heart and "Love" is from the sweat hearts Cartridge.  I did there names on the Gypsy using Quarter Note font and covered in Onyx glitter from Martha Stewart. Did a little doodling with my black Zig pen. Then for the final touch I added several jewels using the I-rock.
