Happy Anniversary!

Hello everyone, I hope your Saturday is going good.  Today I wanted to show a card I made for my husband.  Yesterday was our 16th Wedding Anniversary.  I think that it is kinda feminine mixed with cutesy but he doesn't care and I end up taking it and putting it in my portfolio anyways. I've seen lots of projects using burlap and so on my last trip out of town I stopped in at a Hobby Lobby (we don't have one in my town) and grab me some.

I know the front looks kinda like it should be like an engagement card or something.  I had originally planned on putting a sentiment on the outside but I ended up with not enough room.  So I just added it to the inside.

Well I hope you liked it.  I will definitely be using burlap more I absolutely love the look. Thanks for stopping by and please come back again real soon!

Pause Dream Enjoy Ch#30

Hello and welcome to another Challenge from

This week we are on Challenge #30 which is "Sports and Hobbies"
Create any type of project with either your favorite Sport or Hobby

Now normally I would've jumped all over the "sports" part of this challenge.  I'm an athlete to the core.  I played Volleyball through High School and into College.  I was playing Volleyball a few weeks ago went up for a spike got into a little mix up at the net with the guy on the other side and well I came down on my ankle.  This was 10 days before I was suppose to play in a 3 man Tournament.  I've never in all my years of playing had an ankle injury and let me tell ya it has been horrible.  So back to the point of this story, LOL.  I'm bitter that I've had to be laid up hardly able to do anything for myself.  So even though as soon as I can walk again and my ankle isn't purple blue and green I will be back out on the court I decided to go with a hobby for this challenge.
My hobby is scrapbooking and the first thing I think of when I think of scrapbooking is Cricut and the first cartridge I thought of was Cricut Decals.

The stick queen was cut using Cricut Decals which came pre installed in my E2 and was cut at 3.59"
The "Scrapbook Queen" Was cut using Cricut Everyday at 1.39"
The background shape is from Pop-Up Neighborhood and cut at 5.63"
The paper I used is DCWV "The Dazzle Stack"
Then finished it off with some Zebra printed Ribbon.

Let's see what you can create with a Sport or Hobby theme! Enter your project below here on this post, or you can visit PAUSE DREAM ENJOY CHALLENGES blog and see more inspiration from the awesome design team.  (Some of the design team members have put to use some fantastic images from our sponsor) Then enter your project over there! Keira's Double-Digit Birthday Crafting Bash!

Welcome To day 2 of Keira’s Double-Digit Birthday Crafting Bash!
Oh, the dilemma of it all, what to get a talented gal such as Keira who is going to be 10 for her birthday!!!!! I know what, let's have a blog hop for her .....
Keira has sooo many talents and likes such as:
she will be going in the 5th grade, loves dogs and cats, loves to garden, is a competitive gymnast, but more importantly, she is the best crafting partner Lisa Woodward could have!  At 9, she can use a cricut independently, and with SCAL and CCR. She likes to paper piece and scrapbook and loves making cards for everyone~and everything!!!!  Hallmark may not have a card for “Sorry my Golden Retriever ate your shoe at my sleepover” but Keira sure does!  Keira crafts along side Lisa, working on her own projects, and with helping Lisa with hers.  Now, bear in mind that Keira is not a "kid" crafter so to speak but her skills go way beyond pipe cleaners and pom poms!
We have a talented group of crafters to help Keira celebrate her birthday and know she will be hopping along as part of her "surprise" .....

Our complete line-up is:
Day 1

If you're just visiting me today, I'm thrilled but wouldn't want you to miss a single birthday wish to this special 10 year old!!!! The hop begins with Lisa. If you have arrived from then you are most definitely following the cake crumbs and the birthday banners and streamers!!!

For Keira's card I used the double fold gate card. Since Keira is turning 10 I put the Happy little number 10 on the front. But it was missing something. I wanted the best for Miss. Keira. So it needed to pop.
I cut balloons out and glittered them all up. Then I added them to the outside flap. I love it!

The inside is white framed with yellow/pink and them stamped. I then added a pink ribbon.

Happy Birthday Keira I hope you have a fantastic Birthday!

Well, we hope you enjoyed the birthday wishes we have prepared and now that you won't want to miss as she too wishes Keira a wonderful double digit birthday!!! You can just imagine how thrilled she is as she is grinning "ear-to-ear" with all of her birthday wishes!

If you too would like to send a special card the address to mail to is:

Pause Dream Enjoy Ch#28

Happy Friday!!
This weeks challenge  over at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges blog is Ch#28 we are asked to create any type of project with a JUNGLE theme. You can choose to use the colors of a jungle in your project or create a jungle scene.

When I heard Jungle I immediately thought Lions, monkeys and big green leafs.   I just recently did some invites for a customer with the cute little monkey so I decided to do the Lion.  Whenever I do a cut I try to cut 6 or more to put away to use at a later date.  Well these lions turned out a bit bigger then I had pictured but since I had cut 6 of them I wanted to use it anyways.

  •  CREATE A CRITTER used for Lion cut at 3.5"
  • CREATE A CRITTER also used for the palm trees and the grass
  • Background paper is from DCWV Fall Stack
I know that girl lions don't actually have the big manes but I wanted this lion to look girly so I added a flower with some bling in his hair.  Hope he don't mind...LOL.
I left off a sentiment.  I debated for a while but decided that I can add it later for any occasion or I can leave it blank also for any occasion.

Remember, all of the PDE Challenges are open for submissions through the year until December 31, 2012. So everyone has a chance to jump in or catch up at any time.

This Weeks Prize is from
Lynn of Boots and Bling Time  http://bootsandblingtime.blogspot.com

Have a GREAT day!

Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge

52 Questions Week #27

Sunset

Hello everyone and thanks so much for stopping by.  This is my debut as a Pause Dream Enjoy Design Team member and I am so excited.  So for those of you who don't know how this works, basically you get the theme or question every Friday and create anything a card, layout, tag anything you would like with that theme. Easy peasy right?  Then you link your project by the end of the month to be entered to win a prize. Who doesn't want to win a prize?

So with this weeks theme being sunset I had remembered this picture.  It was the end of the day at the river and the kids were just so tired.  I caught my niece out playing in the mud waiting to go home and thought it was just so sweet.

I used the Life's A Beach cartridge for the Sun and the waves. I stickled the Sun with orange on the outside and yellow on the inside.  Then the Peachy Keen Simple Sallies Stamps for the suns face.

The "Summer Sunset" was cut using Don Juan and popped up using pop dots.  I then sewed a piece of ribbon on to divide the page.

I had some mesh and this little Cherish the moment patch in my embellishment stash that I added.

Then of course the Journaling was printed on white paper and then cut out.

So what did you think of my take on the Sunset theme?

A baseball we will play, and A Camping we will go.....

Happy Monday!  Today I'm leaving to go to girls Camp with my daughter and the Young Women aged 12-17 from our church.  We go up in the Mountains and will have no cell service or reception.  As much as I love my internet, lol I'm kinda looking forward to being "unavailable".  But I just have to brag a little tiny bit.
Yesterday we just got home from being at the Cal Ripken State baseball minors tournament where my son and his team placed second.  They lost there very first game and landed themselves into the losers bracket.  But they fought there way all the way back to the championship game where they lost.    But my son won the Tommy Jones Sportsmanship MVP award and I couldn't have been prouder of him.

This is a picture of my most favorite boys. His dad got to coach him during regular season and was the stats manager for the tournament.

Anyhow, hope you all have a great week. It's looking like rain all week where I'm going and coming from  Sunny Arizona I sure hope it does rain all week, he-he!
Keep an eye out for Friday's post it's my debut as a new Pause Dream Enjoy DT member.
