The Scrapoholic Sketch Saturday

Hello Everyone it's Sketchy Saturday Challenge time again.  I had alot of fun on  this weeks Sketch and I think you will too.  So head on over to The Scrapoholic's and check out the teams fabulous work and then link up your project so we can see what you've got.

For my Layout, instead of using the circle center that I cut out I used the outside border and put aside the circle for another time. I used the new cartridge pre loaded in the E2 Cricut American Alphabet. I backed the frame with white cardstock for the White center. I added a black strip down the side a couple of photo mats and used a clear stamp set made by Recollections for the sentiments and clocks.

Thank you for looking and please give this sketch a try, the possibilities are endless.

A couple more Mother's Day Cards...non Cricut

Here are a couple more cards I made for Mother's Day.  I had to make them in a hurry so I didn't even use my Cricuts.  I printed out the sentiments on the computer.  I added some bling and ribbon to the top card and used a punch and some ribbon on the bottom card and Ta-Da!! Quick yet pretty cards.

Another Mothers Day Card.

Happy Sunday everyone I hope that you've had a wonderful day.  I'm catching up on some pass due blogging.                                                                      I made this card for my Mother in Law.  I'm more of the "cutsie" style card maker but I wanted to make this card a bit more elegant.  I used Mother's Day Bouquet for the flowers and Wild Card for the "Happy Mother's Day".      For the bottom of the card I took some satin like paper, folded it in pleats and sewed it down. Then I glued it between the white and purple card layers.  Then added some pearls to cover the seam. You can't see it very well but the purple paper has Happy Mother's day lightly on it.  I used a Versa Mark stamp pad and a stamp and stamped it all over the paper.  The flowers were cut in several different sizes, crinkled all up and inked. Then attached together with pearl brads.

Well thank you for stopping by, I look forward to seeing you back again soon.

Happy Mothers Day Card 1

I made all my mother's Day cards and I sent them out on time. I just haven't had much blogging time, not to mention the last couple of days Blogger has been unavailable.  So even though Mother's Day has all ready passed I'd still like to show the cards that I made this year for mothers day.

This Card I sent to my Cousin in law who has a 1 yr old.  I thought it to be fitting.
The heart is from George and Basic Shapes.  I cut it using my Gypsy. I sized one at 3.75and the second layer at 3.99.
The Mother holding her baby was cut using A Child's Year.  I cut that at 4.78.  Then I just trimmed it down to fit inside the heart.
I used a Hero Arts Stamp for the Happy Mother's Day Sentiment and for the wavy border punch is from eKSuccess.

This is only one of a few cards so stay tuned for more Mother's Day action! :)
